Fukuura Island

Fukuura Island of 6ha in area is on the east of the Matsushima gulf. You can walk across the Fukuura Bridge of 252m in total length. Approximately 250 kinds of trees and plants grow in the island, the sasanqua flower blooms from February to March, and the camellia from March to June, cherry trees in April, the colored leaves from October to November are wonderful. As there is a promenade, you can make a round trip. Necessary time is 30 minutes to one hour.
