Kurashiki Archaeological Museum

The building which is redecorated the 2-story storehouse of the Edo era. The east half area of Okayama and Hiroshima was called Kibi and prospered with superior culture in the ancient times. Here is displayed the archeological document including the earthenware coffin which is excavated a lot in stone implement, a bone and a horn device of Jomon, Yayoi, an old burial mound, the historical age, earthenware vessel, bronze ware, ironware, Okayama from the Old Stone Age a lot. In addition, there is the ancient South American Peruvian (before Inca Empire) earthenware vessel, too. The exhibition room which natural light inserts on the second floor is left in the feature of the storehouse.
