Yaeyama Museum

Displays many old tools used actually including fishing implements, farming implements, toys, dyed goods, ceramic wares and decoration for funerals and festivals. Many everyday articles were used shellfishes of conches, leaves of livistona chinensis and banyan trees as materials, and you can learn the life which was close to the nature of tropical island through them. There are also plank-built fishing boat, dugout canoe and one-tenth model of Miyara Dunchi.
