Kanazawa Castle Park

This is a park which restored the castle of the Kaga feudal clan Maeda family. The full-scale construction was begun after Toshiie Maeda entered the castle in 1583. But the castle tower was destroyed by fire of thunderbolt in 1602, and fire of several times occurred afterwards. Rhombic turret and Hashizume gate turret and 50 ken terrace houses was restored in 2001, which is the reproduction of the turret destroyed by fire in 1881 after being destroyed by fire in 1808. This building was in the outworks, core of the of Kanazawa-jo Castle.

It is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop named Kenroku-en shita to the Ishikawa gate entrance. It is a 5-minute walk from the Korinbou bus stop to the Imori-zaka entrance.

7:00 - 18:00 (from October 16 to the end of February: 8:00 - 17:00). Rhombic turret, Hashizume gate turret, 50 ken terrace houses and Hashizume gate: 9:00 - 16:30 (last entry at 16:00). Kawakita-Mon gate: 9:00 - 16:30 (last entry at 16:00). Gyokusen-an (tea ceremony service) 9:00 - 16:30.
