Ishikawa-mon Gate

Ishikawa-mon Gate is an important cultural property. It protected Kanazawa-jo Castle as a rear gate. The current building was rebuilt in 1788. Because the common tiles are broken by the coldness in the severe winter, the particular tiles of lead were used. It is said bullets were made from the tiles when the feudal clans were about to war.
