Okayama Korakuen Garden

Koraku-en Garden becomes familiar to people as one of the 3 famous gardens in Japan. Tsunamasa Ikeda, Okayama feudal lord gave an order to Nagatada Tsuda, his vassal to construct this garden in 1686 (Jokyo 3), which is appointed to the places of scenic beauty of the country.
It is a "circuit style garden". When you walk around the garden, you will see it like a picture scroll.
 Cherry trees and azalea are in full glory in spring, lotus and iris are in summer. The volunteer guide (free) is available, reception desk is near the front gate. The reservation of the volunteer guide requires ten days before (reception desk TEL086-272-1148).
