Ryukyu Glass Village

It began with the reuse of cola and the beer bottle. The U.S. forces brought it in after World War II. The Ryukyu glass is colorful, and it is beautiful. At the glassworks in the glass village, you can observe the wonderful skill of the craftsmen blowing the glass. You make a reservation and can experience a glasswork (1,620 yen ...) . You can make an original glass. There is the ceramic art experience classroom (2,700 yen ...), too. You can form it by hand or by potter's wheel. In the shopping center, there are many traditional industrial art objects of Okinawa. Ryukyu glass, earthenware, etc.
