Shodo holy priest came to here towards Fudarakusan (Mount Nantai). Jizo Bosatsu appeared and encouraged him then. For the legend, a family of loyal retainer of Iemitsu, Tadaaki Abe built it. Kuen is the title of Tadaaki.
