Somon gate (Kencho-ji Temple)

The official temple name of Kencho-ji Temple is "Kofukusan Kencho koukokuzenji temple". An extra point is written in "巨" among kanji names in the frame of the somon gate. It is said that Ichinei Issan of the tenth chief priest leaves it to the force of the writing brush and wrote it why a point is on. As a result, the point tightened the whole and came to be called "100 kan points" because it added a value of 100 kan. A frame made in late years is raised now. The large triple gate following somon gate is 30m in height, the rebuilding in 1775 (Anei 4), and a Gohyakurakan image is enshrined on the top.
