Goryokaku Park

The park which was made in the ruins of Goryokaku. There are the former city magistrate's office entrance and Goryokaku historic spot sign, a cannon trace in the garden and reminds me of the history. 1,600 cherry trees are planted and are known as a famous spot of Southern Hokkaido area first-rate cherry tree. In addition, Goryokaku Tower of 107m in height is built adjacent to the park and can overlook Hakodate city and Tsugaru Strait let alone whole view of Goryokaku from an observation deck.
