Visiting Western-style buildings of the Meiji

A Western building of Meiji, the Taisho era blends with a quality of old castle town, and Hirosaki forms old-fashioned, stylish cityscape. In the representative former Kunitachi 59th bank (existing Aomori Bank memorial hall), there is a decoration tower on the roof with the Renaissance style of the building in 1904 (Meiji 37). A design by eminent scholar, Sakichi Horie. The religion architecture by Father Auger such as the Hirosaki Catholic Church in the east of the Cultural Center is the highlight again, too.
