Muryokoin site

The trace of the temple which Hidehira Fujiwara who was the Fujiwaras third generation erected after the fashion of Byodo-in Temple Phoenix Hall in Kyoto, Uji. Only foundation stone, pond and island in the pond(Nakajima) are left. The centerline of the Buddhist monastery carries through East gate, Nakajima, Main hall, and it is designed in a position to become the straight line to Mt. Kinkei. The solemnity of the setting sun on the ridgeline seen twice a year in spring and autumn is unmissable.
