Awashima-dou (Senso-ji Temple)

In the Genroku era year (1688-1704), a soul of Awashima Myojin of the Kishu Kada was reached, and the Awashima-dou was erected. The principal image is Amitabha. Awashima Myojin, Akasa-garbha-bodhisattva are worshiped. Memorial services for needles is carried out on February 8. People prick the tofu with a broken needle and express the will of thanks.
