Kaminari-mon Gate (Senso-ji Temple)

The official name is Fuuraijinmon, and a god of the wind image is located to the right of the Mon. A god of thunder image is located to the left of the Mon. It is somon gate of Senso-ji Temple. There was what was founded first near Komagata at the time of in 942 (Tengyo 5). The current Mon was rebuilt in 1960 (Showa 35). The red big lantern hung by the center is 3.3m in width, 3.9m in height. It is a landmark of Asakusa.
