Downtown of Asian No. 1 where a department store and a high-rise building jostle. The east exit is lined with a department store and cinema complexes such as Isetan, Marui, and the west exit is lined with skyscrapers including the Metropolitan Government. Shinjuku Southern Terrace or Takashimaya Times Square are at the south exit. The long underpass where a lot of entry of lines of the railroad are convenient for both the east exit and the west exit follows. It is full of many people so as to have a hard time to walk at the place where people living in Tokyo are easy to gather most at the night before a holiday and the holiday.
